Our Team
Lana Sims
Managing Partner
Lana Sims is Managing Partner and a co-founder of Broad River Investments. Lana is an experienced commercial real estate professional, most recently serving as part of the leadership team of a private equity-backed CRE firm with over $1B in assets under management. Lana’s experience includes portfolio management, capital markets, investor relations, financing, and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Lana spent eight years in private law practice, focusing on real estate financing, acquisitions, and leasing. Lana holds a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and B.A. from Davidson College. Lana is based in Atlanta, GA and maintains a strong connection to the Carolinas where he has spent much of his life and professional career.
Harry Clayton
Partner
Harry Clayton is a co-founder of Broad River Investments. Harry has been developing and investing in real estate for over 20 years, with significant experience across all commercial asset classes. Harry brings deep expertise in acquisitions, entitlements, construction, and fundraising. Harry is the Chairman and founder of Clayton Management, a family of value-driven companies spanning multiple markets and industries, including construction, automotive, food & beverage, real estate development, and waste management. Harry holds a B.S. in Construction Science from Clemson University and is a licensed general contractor in seven states. Harry is based in Spartanburg, SC and is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).
